I really wanted an opportunity to work and live in Dallas over the summer, but it was difficult because I don't really have family in the area.  Working with Judge Smith was the highlight of my summer and really drove home a lot of what I learned during my first year in law school.  Even more, it allowed me to evaluate cases from the judge's perspective, which is invaluable.
